Police Rescues Disoriented Falcon in Mexico City

Police from the homeland of Mexico saved a hawk, which was found in a helpless state in the area of the Boulevard Puerto Aéreo station on Line 1 meter, following from Observatorio to Pantitlán. Officers from the Banking and Industrial Police from the Secretariat of Civil Security, dislocated in the Modal Transfer Center Boulevard Puerto Aéreo, discovered the hawk, apparently disoriented, and handed it over to specialists from the Wildlife Monitoring Brigade.

While conducting security measures at the metro terminal in the administrative district of Venustiano Carranza, police noticed that the bird was hiding between a wall and a tree and was having difficulty flying. They approached to cover it with a cloth and give it water. After the officers ensured its protection, the hawk was safely covered and water was provided, and help from the Wildlife Monitoring Brigade was also requested for the necessary care.

Members of the Wildlife Monitoring Brigade took measures to transport the hawk to their facilities, where it would be examined by specialists and then handed over to competent authorities. In the upcoming year, on April 24, at the Bellas Artes metro station, the attention of passengers was drawn by an unusual situation involving a hawk, which transported two people. Police, who worked at the station, approached to check the situation.

Officers from the Secretariat of Civil Security reported that the bird needed to be transferred to a cage for transport, although passengers explained that it had been tamed and could calmly sit on the shoulder of one of the men, not posing a danger to others. Nevertheless, the police escorted the two men to their designated point to avoid potential problems.
